You don’t have to see the whole staircase…..

to take the first step.

Saturday August 29th, 9:30 Trak Shak Homewood – there’ll be in information meeting about the Fall Edition, The 15th Anniversary Edition, of Couch to 10K. We’ll have our first run Monday 9/1 6:00 p.m. in the BB&T Bank Bldg parking lot next door to the Mt Brook YMCA (2401 20th Place South). Saturday will be information, sign up and question and answer. The cost for the program is $49, for all 10 weeks. If you’re thinking that you only want to do a 5K, then that’s fine – stop after week 7 which is when you’ll be ready, willing and able to run one.

The program is about fun and accomplishment – there are no expectations. You run at your own pace! The point of this program is accomplishment – the goal is to finish the Vulcan Run 10K feeling good and wanting to do another one and you will!

If you’ve always wanted to run, or you want to start back (as in beginning or beginning again), avoid injury, learn the correct way from the most experienced, most successful training program in the state, then this is the program for you. You will progress steadily and measurably toward your goal. If you’re able to run 1 or 2 miles already but want structure and accountability (or maybe a boost) to run farther – Run University also offers Running 102 for those who can run ‘a little’. It’s the only time of the year we offer this is a group setting.

We offer group runs, camaraderie, great instruction, an immensely successful training program with experienced and successful coaches and mentors not to mention new friends and motivational, informational, and encouraging e-mails to guide you along your path.

It’s time to toss the excuses – Time, or lack thereof? We all have the same 86, 400 seconds in a day. It’s a matter of prioritizing. Could you do it for a million bucks? Okay! Now we have a priority – how about for your health, something a million bucks can’t buy. How about for fun? Same answer. It’s a great, easy way to get leaner, dropping some pounds (if wanted) while having fun. And ‘bad knee’s? Almost never a good excuse – The evidence is empirical that running properly in most cases actually strengthens knees. Sore knees might need as simple a solution as proper footwear (new, quality running shoes) or simple exercises to strengthen your legs. We’re not going to change ‘the’ world; but you CAN change your world!

Plus, it’s fun. So take the first step – check us out 8/29. E-mail us with any questions….It is NEVER too late and you know what? It’s your turn to Be Phenomenal!

Take the first step, you’ll love the staircase….
